I help people understand, process, and live faithfully in the reality of loss. Even when my clients donโt present with grief, itโs often underneath: loss of identity, loss of expectations, loss of control. Thatโs grief, even if it is unnamed. I use a grief-informed care lens with primary modalities of CBT and ACT.
As a Christian counselor, I am always ready to integrate Biblical principles, Scripture, and prayer into my work with clients who are interested in strengthening their faith or learning more about Christianity.
Engaging in counseling is one way we can โbe transformed by the renewing of your mindโ (Romans 12:2.) I care deeply about how people live, not just how they think; I donโt want to just help my clients get over symptoms, but I want to help them live faithfully even when life is hard.
Iโm comfortable with the weighty, soul-level questions and conversations people feel they have nowhere else to bring.
