Absolutely changed my whole life, thank you Lumera. They believed in me when I couldn’t and wouldn’t. Now I’m unstoppable at my recovery and mental health. I highly recommend the Intensive outpatient program it saved my life.
For Adults, Teens, and Children – Anywhere in Kentucky
You shouldn’t have to choose between getting help and keeping your schedule. At Lumera Healthcare, our licensed therapists and psychiatric providers meet you where you are – through secure, convenient virtual appointments that fit your life.
For a lot of people across Kentucky – especially in rural areas – the biggest barrier to mental health care isn’t willingness. It’s access. Providers are spread out. Wait times stretch on. And the idea of driving an hour each way for a 50-minute appointment is enough to make most people put it off indefinitely.
That’s exactly what telehealth is designed to solve.
At Lumera Healthcare, our virtual therapy and psychiatry services follow the same clinical standards as our in-person care. You get the same licensed therapists, the same psychiatric providers, and the same integrated approach – without leaving your home. Whether you’re in Paducah, Louisville, Lexington, Pikeville, or anywhere in between, care is a click away.
We accept all major insurance, including: Medicaid, Medicare, commercial, and self-pay.
One-on-one sessions with a licensed Lumera therapist, conducted over secure video. We work with adults, teens, and children dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and more.
If you’ve tried therapy before and didn’t find the right fit, we’ll work to match you with someone whose approach fits your situation.
Lumera’s psychiatric providers are available via telehealth for evaluations and ongoing medication management.
If you’ve been managing a mental health condition and need a psychiatric provider who communicates with your therapist – not just a prescriber who hands off a script – our integrated model covers that virtually as well.
For patients on Medicaid, targeted case management helps connect you with the community resources, support services, and care coordination you need to make treatment stick.
This service is available virtually for eligible patients across Kentucky.
Lumera offers virtual group therapy sessions for patients who benefit from peer support alongside individual care.
Group therapy provides a structured, facilitated environment to work through shared challenges with others who understand what you’re going through.
Absolutely changed my whole life, thank you Lumera. They believed in me when I couldn’t and wouldn’t. Now I’m unstoppable at my recovery and mental health. I highly recommend the Intensive outpatient program it saved my life.

My husband is getting insight into his feelings, our daughter is learning coping mechanisms, our granddaughter is also learning to deal with life. We are each learning survival skills & growing skills. Excellent experience!

I am 102 days sober thanks to the accountability of groups and meetings and also the resources l’ve gotten from their classes. I owe them for a second chance at life and I mean that dearly!

Lumera Healthcare has been a life saver for me. I began seeing Lumera Healthcare about a year and a half ago for management of major depression and anxiety. They have gone out of their way to ensure I had the medication & therapy I needed.

Some people wonder whether telehealth is as effective as sitting in a room with a therapist. The short answer is that research consistently shows virtual therapy produces comparable outcomes to in-person care for most conditions – and for many patients, removing the barrier of travel actually improves consistency and follow-through.
At Lumera, telehealth is not a reduced version of our care. It’s the same licensed clinicians, the same clinical standards, and the same integrated model where your therapist and psychiatric provider work together. The screen is different. The care isn’t.
We’ve kept the process short on purpose. Here’s what happens after you reach out.
Takes a few minutes. We ask enough to understand your situation, nothing more.
With appointment time options that work for your schedule. You don't have to chase us down.
This covers permission to treat and insurance information so we can handle billing on our end.
A few minutes before your appointment, open the app, click "Begin Telehealth," choose your provider, and you're ready to go. This first session is an intake where we learn more about your needs and match you with the right fit.
Lumera Healthcare holds CARF accreditation, a third-party quality standard that most behavioral health providers in Kentucky do not. It means our clinical processes and outcomes are held to internationally recognized standards. Verify our accreditation at carf.org.
Our therapists and psychiatric providers are Kentucky-licensed clinicians – not a rotating roster of contractors or a national platform staffed by people unfamiliar with this state. They understand what life looks like here, including the rural challenges, the limited local resources, and the very real stigma around asking for help in a small community.
Most telehealth platforms offer therapy only. Lumera offers therapy, psychiatry, and case management virtually – and your providers coordinate with each other. When medication and therapy are both part of your plan, your team works from the same page.
We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most major commercial insurance. Self-pay rates and a sliding scale fee program based on family size and income are available for patients without adequate coverage. Cost should not be the reason someone goes without care.
Lumera’s telehealth services are available to any Kentucky resident – from Paducah to Louisville to Lexington to Pikeville. If you live in Kentucky and hold a Kentucky address, you can access Lumera care virtually.
You don’t need to have the right words or a clear diagnosis before you reach out. Fill out a short form or call us directly – someone from our team will follow up the next business day with appointment options.
Telehealth therapy and psychiatry available statewide across Kentucky. In-person locations in Paducah, Murray and Mayfield.
